2026 Kansas City Fall Minis are Now Open

Kansas City Fall Mini Sessions Are Here!

There’s something about fall that makes me want to slow down and soak it all in. Crisp mornings, changing leaves, cozy sweaters, golden light, and all the little traditions that make this season feel so special. And, of course, it’s one of my favorite times of year to be behind the camera. 🍂📸

Fall is also one of my busiest seasons, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Every year, I get to welcome so many familiar faces back in front of my lens while also meeting new families who are trusting me to capture their memories for the first time.

Some of my favorite sessions are with families I’ve photographed year after year. I get to watch little ones grow, families change, and new chapters unfold, and being invited back to document those moments is something I never take for granted.

So, whether you're looking for updated family photos, pictures for your Christmas cards, or simply want to capture your family exactly as they are right now, Fall Mini Sessions are officially open!

A Quick Note About Fall Minis

Fall Mini Sessions are intended for immediate family sessions and are not designed for senior sessions, or newborn sessions. If you are in need of an extended family session (More than 6 people), please book 2 sessions. That gives us plenty of time to work with everyone. If you're looking for one of those types of sessions, please reach out to me directly and we can talk about creating a session specifically for you.

2026 Kansas City Fall Mini Session Dates & Locations

I’ve selected some of my favorite locations around the Kansas City area for this year's fall sessions, with dates and times chosen to take advantage of beautiful fall light and scenery.

🏡 Stoney Creek Neighbors

I always love getting to photograph my Stoney Creek neighbors, so I’m offering an exclusive Fall Mini Session date on October 3rd just for the neighborhood. If you live in Stoney Creek and would like to book, please email me and I’ll send you the exclusive booking link.

What If These Dates Don't Work for Me?

I know schedules can be tricky, especially during the busy fall season, so if none of the scheduled Mini Session dates work for your family, please reach out! I’m happy to see what additional availability I may have, including some weekend mornings and weekday evenings.

Please note: The $160 Fall Mini Session price is reserved for the scheduled Mini Session dates and locations listed above. If you need a date or location outside of the planned Mini Session schedule, I offer a one off Mini Session for $200. These sessions include a little more flexibility with up to 30 minutes of shooting time, along with travel to a location specifically of your choosing. The additional cost helps cover the extra time and travel involved in creating a session outside of my scheduled Mini Session days.

I also offer sessions that are longer than a mini. Feel free to inquire any of my options here: www.daniandcostudios.com/portraits

I truly appreciate your understanding and am always happy to work with you to find a date and location that fits your family's schedule. 🤎

Let's Make Some Fall Memories

Whether you've been in front of my camera before or this will be our first session together, I would absolutely love to photograph your family this fall.

These little seasons go by so quickly. Kids grow, families change, and before we know it, another year has passed. That's why I love what I do — because photographs give us a way to hold onto the people and moments that matter most.

So pull out those sweaters, coordinate the outfits, bring the kids, and let's embrace the beautiful chaos that comes with family photos. I'll take care of the rest.

I can't wait to see so many familiar faces — and meet some new ones — this fall!

With love,

Dani

A Little Love for Last Fall

Before you head out, I wanted to share a few of the beautiful families I had the pleasure of photographing during last year's Fall Mini Sessions. 49 families from all across the Kansas City area stepped in front of my camera, and I’m still so grateful for every single one.

From returning families I’ve photographed for years to brand-new faces I was meeting for the first time, each session was a little different — and every family brought their own kind of magic.

Here’s a little peek at some of the memories we created together. I can’t wait to see who I get to photograph this fall!
