From “Yes” to One: Celebrating Anthony’s First Year


Six years ago, I photographed a very special moment for two of my friends: their engagement proposal. Little did I know then just how many chapters of their story I would have the privilege of capturing.


Since that day, I’ve photographed their engagement, their wedding ceremony, their first anniversary, and then their gender reveal, where we found out they were expecting a sweet baby boy. I photographed those first precious months with Anthony, and now, somehow, we’re celebrating his very first birthday.


There is something incredibly special about getting to photograph a family through so many of life’s milestones. These aren’t just clients to me. They are friends, and their family has become such a meaningful part of my photography journey. Getting to watch their love grow from an engagement into a marriage, and then into a family of three, has been such a gift.


These photos are just a little glimpse into the past year with sweet Anthony, from the excitement of finding out he was a boy to watching his personality emerge and celebrating the little boy he is becoming. I’m so grateful they continue to trust me to document these moments, and I can’t wait to see where the next chapters take them.
